RTC 250 CATAMARAN

The almost fully stainless RTC 250 Catamaran erects pre-glued carton blanks or skillets and loads them using a horizontal side loading mechanism. The continuous motion cartoner is available in a short pitch execution capable of up to 250 cartons/min as well as a special long pitch version for handling larger products, such as pizzas.

In both executions the carton is erected using a rotary head, vacuum erecting system. For more difficult carton board and high speed applications, there is the option of a vacuum pre-erecting system to ensure a very high carton erection efficiency.

In this machine, the erected carton and the product to be loaded run in

parallel to each other, during this period the horizontal side-load pushers gently transfer the product into the carton. This is a continuous process without reciprocating movements, allowing a very smooth transfer at high speeds.

After loading the carton side flaps are closed and this can be done using hot-melt glue guns or fold and tuck principle.

The cartons are discharged from the machine using side belts that gently apply pressure to the carton ends to ensure a good closure.

This positive drive system ensures that there are no carton jams.

Again, constructed using the Catamaran design principle, the machine has a large, horizontal carton blank conveyor feeding into the carton magazine. The machine comes with a text display, as standard, able to give fault diagnosis and error messages.
