CATAMARAN I (CPA) CASEPACKER

The almost fully stainless CPA Catamaran I and II case packer are built using the "Catamaran" principle described previously. It’s universal design allows the machine to produce cases or trays and the machine can run both wrap-around and RSC style boxes.

Using the specially developed RLE-15 lid erector, the machine can even

produce a two part tray and lid, where the lid is separately formed

and glued, before being applied to the tray.

The machine functions as follows:

Case blanks are pulled from a magazine using an independently driven erector and placed between the flights of the case transport chain.

The infeed system then feeds products/collations into the erected blank after which the minor flaps are folded, hotmelt glue applied and the box is then squared up prior to final closing, to avoid any problems with downstream palletising.

If required, this case packer can be extended or added to using standard modules and infeed systems, such as:

- The "Racutrack" system for collating stand-up pouches/bags.

- Tilting belts for collating smaller boxes or cartons on edge.

- Elevator/lowerator systems for collating smaller boxes or cartons in piles.

- The lane divider for tubs, bottles or stand-up pouches/bags.
